LENASO is specifically focusing on the community component that deals with advocacy, messaging and community mobilization for the uptake of VMMC and Early Infant Male Circumcision (EIMC) services in five priority districts. The engaged mobilizers in Maseru, Leribe, Mafeteng, Berea and Mohale’shoek managed to conduct group discussions with community members at different settings such as health centres during outreaches, at churches and during homes visits.
In July 2017, LENASO managed to conduct the number of public gatherings, VMMC mobilization at sports activities, conduct different meetings for VMMC mobilizations and successfully referred males for VMMC service uptake in Leribe, Berea, Maseru, Mafeteng and Mohale’s Hoek. The church leaders were given orientation training on VMMC in the districts of Mohale’s Hoek, Mafeteng, Maseru, Berea and Leribe.
